Volunteer Opportunities
Hiking Club created by volunteers
Arapahoe and Jefferson County offer a variety of opportunities to support our children and families:
- Become a certified respite care provider for temporary relief of foster parents
- Volunteer at our community awareness and family appreciation events
- Assist with our monthly Kidz Night Out events for foster and adoptive children
- Provide child care
- Lead an activity
- Donate food or refreshments
- Offer a kid-friendly venue
- Donate entertainment
- Offer short-term child care during meetings and trainings
- Post information about our program in your community
- Mentor or tutor children
- Donate and distribute donated items
- Offer administrative support
- Propose a volunteer effort that utilizes your unique talents and skills

Getting Started
New volunteers are expected to participate in training, undergo background checks and receive ongoing support and supervision. To learn more, or to set up an interview for a volunteer position, please contact the volunteer coordinator in the county nearest you:
